The Penumbra System ® is a fully-integrated system designed specifically for mechanical thrombectomy by aspiration. It is intended for use in the revascularization of patients with acute ischemic stroke secondary to intracranial large vessel occlusions. The Penumbra System includes
Penumbra JET™, ACE™ and MAX™ Reperfusion Catheters, Hi-Flow Aspiration Tubing, 3D Revascularization Device™,  Penumbra ENGINE™ aspiration source, and Penumbra ENGINE Canister.

Penumbra ENGINE delivers nearly pure vacuum through Penumbra Hi-Flow Aspiration Tubing, and Penumbra JET, ACE and MAX Reperfusion Catheters. The Penumbra System is engineered to maximize aspiration power for optimal clot removal. The 3D Revascularization Device is a next-generation stroke device, designed and optimized for aspiration with Penumbra JET and ACE Reperfusion Catheters.
